Ultraprobe 2000 is a unique versatile equipment, which can be used single handedly, to inspect or monitor equipments and perform almost all preventive maintenance needs of any industry.
The common industrial applications of Ultraprobe 2000 are as follows.
VALVES & VALVE STEMS
Valve activity such as leakage or blockage can be accurately checked while the valve is on line.
Valve Stems may be quickly tested for leaks to atmosphere.
PRESSURE / VACUUM LEAKS
When any gas (air, oxygen, nitrogen etc,) passes through a leak orifice, it generates a turbulent flow. This flow is heard & detected by scanning the test area with the Ultraprobe..
STEAM TRAP INSPECTION
The exact condition of steam traps can be heard and analyzed while they are on line.
ELECTRICAL INSPECTION
Arcing, tracking & corona discharges produce ultrasound. Electrical discharges in switchgears, transformers, circuit breakers and other electrical gears can be located by scanning with an Ultraprobe.
BEARING INSPECTION / MONITORING
With the Ultraprobe, users can hear the sound quality of a bearing as well as monitor amplitude changes on the display / meter. This provides the ability to trend, trouble shoot and confirm potential bearing problems.

HEAT EXCHANGERS, BOILERS & CONDENSERS
In-leakages or pressure leakages can be readily located with the Ultraprobe. Ultratone - A unique method that is also employed for heat exchangers is the "Ultratone" method. In this method a powerful high frequency transmitter floods the shell side of the exchanger with ultrasound. The generated sound follows the leak path through the tube enabling the exact location of the leak to be detected.
